You will find lots of regional attractions right in the vicinity. Visit the Mosel river with its lovely medieval town of Bernkastel, or conquer Trier, the oldest Germany city, where you can admire Roman architecture from about 2000 years ago. Or witness the results of volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago by walking along volcanic lakes (Eifelmaare).
